Uber gives rides with a Rodeo twist

Houston (KTRK) -- Uber is giving your ride to the rodeo the trifecta of Texas flare -- trucks, boots, and food.

The Houston rodeo is in town and Uber wants its riders to get the full experience.

The ride service is now offering a new pickup truck option for their passengers to enjoy the rodeo season in true Texas style.

Between Tuesday, March 7 and Sunday, March 26, Uber riders can request an uberTruck to take them where they want to go.

The pickup truck option can be requested the same way an UberX is, as long as your trip begins within Beltway 8.

If you truly want to tap into your inner cowboy, Uber is also offering 'Boots on demand.' They partnered with Boot Barn and can have authentic cowboy boots delivered to your door at no cost to you. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, just open the Uber app and look for the orange 'Boots on demand' button.

Uber tweeted a picture of one lucky recipient.

In the spirit of the many rodeo indulgences, Uber is also offering its UberEATS services.
