In just a few days, Santa will be making his way around the world to deliver gifts to little boys and girls.
He has been a busy man, but Eyewitness News was able to catch up with him before his big night to see how the last-minute toy production is going.
Santa has a big job to do in a short period of time, and droves of children stopped by to make last-minute requests. Santa says more and more kids are asking for electronics this year. Lots of little ones want bikes and toys from the
Disney movie "Frozen." Santa said the most popular gift this year was Legos.
His most hilarious request?
"Probably a piece of Styrofoam. His mother just rolled her eyes and said 'who knows?'" Santa said.
His most heart-warming request came from the son of a soldier.
This one little child said all he wanted was for his daddy to come home. And I said, 'I can't make any promises, but we'll just have to wait and see,'" Santa said.
Santa has lots of wishes to fulfill in the next few days, and he said he is going to do his best to make every boy and girl smile, even the ones who don't smile when they come to see him. Santa said when kids cry, he doesn't take it personally. He says about 80 percent of kids under age 2 shed a tear on his lap.
"I love them all whether they hug more or cry. They're all the same to me," Santa said.
We had to ask what Santa does on Dec. 26.
"I do a lot of sleeping after I open my gifts," Santa said.
