Oh, deer! Dad's excuse for pulling daughter out of school goes viral

RICHMOND, Texas (KTRK) -- Forget listing "doctor's appointment" as a reason to pull your child out of school. A father from Richmond is going viral after he says he came out with the truth: he wanted to take his daughter deer hunting.

Jeff Pavlock posted recently on Facebook that he checked his 12-year-old daughter out of school early with an excuse note that reads, "It's deer season. Headed to go put the smack down on a monster buck."

Pavlock posted a picture of the note he left with the caption, saying in part, "When... everybody else writes down Dr. appointments, but you right (sic) down the truth... priorities."

His post has been shared nearly 85,000 times.
