TARZANA, LOS ANGELES -- A Good Samaritan was being credited with saving four people from a fiery car crash in Tarzana on Saturday.
Simon Warren of Santa Monica said he witnessed the crash in the 1800 block of W. Hattaras Street, and then pulled the victims out of their burning vehicle.
At around noon, firefighters raced to put out flames that fully engulfed the SUV.
Witnesses said the vehicle suddenly swerved and crashed into the entrance of a church when the Good Samaritan rushed to help the people inside.
"It was the front driver and then a passenger, and then another two in the back. I dragged both of them out the back door, back seat on the passenger's side, in the rear, on the right hand side. No one was doing anything so I had to step up," said Warren.
Two people were taken to the hospital, and two others were treated at the scene.
There was no word on their injuries or damage to the church.
The Los Angeles Police Department was investigating the incident.
