HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A barrage of bullets littered a north Houston residence early this morning.
Police officers told Eyewitness News a gunman opened fire at the home on E 37th and Cortlandt Streets around 3:00am. Investigators reported at least 30 shots fired.
Officers nearby heard the commotion and chased the gunman's car. The pursuit lasted just a short distance.
Authorities said 3 people inside the car bailed out at Yale Street and Weatherly Way. Officers said they caught the driver immediately and captured another person near a bayou. K-9 units tracked the last wanted man to a nearby apartment complex.
HPD said they recovered an AR-10 and a pistol from the vehicle. Officers arrested all three men. Investigators said they're looking into what triggered the violence.
