VERNON, TX -- One of the largest ranches in the United States is now on the real estate market.

The W.T. Waggoner Estate Ranch, located in Vernon, Texas, is spread out over 797 square miles of land. That's bigger than the city limits of Houston (655 sq mi), Los Angeles (468 sq mi) or New York (305 sq mi).

The historic property was established in 1849 by famous cowboy Dan Waggoner. It's been under the same family ownership, never being put up for sale, until now.

So what's the asking price for a city sized property? $725,000,000 - but it gets you everything you could imagine under the Texas sun.

Let's start with the 510,527 acres of terrain. There are long flat fields and rolling hills. Creeks and rivers line the property, and there are several huge lakes for fishing or relaxing.

Love to hunt? Then this place is a dream come true. The ranch grounds are full of deer, turkey, quail, dove, water fowl and feral hogs - and that's on top of the livestock of horses and cattle that sprawl the property.

In addition to two main headquarters, there are approximately 20 cowboy camps. And most of the property is connected by a network of private ranch roads.

Finally, there's an extra source of income in the form of 1,000 producing oil wells which are spread out across the ranch.
