HUMBLE, Texas (KTRK) -- An arrest has been made after a repairman was found shot to death in a Humble home inside a gated community, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office said deputies were flagged down around 10:45 p.m. on Thursday after family members of a repairman, identified as 31-year-old Christopher Walsh, said they were worried when he didn't come home from work.
Deputies said the work truck was tracked down to a home in the 12400 block of Crathie Drive in the Balmoral subdivision.
When deputies went inside, they said they found Walsh shot to death.
HCSO Sgt. Greg Pinkins said they were told the homeowner's son was supposed to meet Walsh at the home around 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
"The homeowner's son was supposed to meet the repairman here so he could fix a leak at the residence. We do have information that a black vehicle, a sedan, was seen leaving the residence. That is not the vehicle that the son was driving based on his family members. We are working on trying to ID that vehicle and who may have been driving that vehicle," Pinkins explained.
HCSO said on Friday evening that after further investigation, they arrested 32-year-old Jaime Michael Garcia and charged him with murder in connection with the shooting death of Walsh. The motive is currently unknown, HCSO said.
Garcia was booked in the Harris County Jail, authorities said.
