Coast Guard assisting in search for missing 38-year-old kayaker out of Galveston, officials say

GALVESTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The Coast Guard is assisting with the search for a missing kayaker out of Galveston on Monday afternoon, according to authorities.

A post was made by the USCG-Heartland that said officials are searching for a 38-year-old Hispanic man out of West Galveston Bay. He was reported missing on Sunday around 8 p.m.

The man was last seen wearing a black shirt and gray shorts.
