Man found shot to death in northwest Houston apartment courtyard, HPD says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The Houston Police Department said a man was found shot to death in northwest Houston on Sunday morning.

Officers said the man's body was found in the courtyard of the complex on Antoine Drive near West Tidwell Road, less than half a mile from where two men were shot while walking on Friday night.

Police said they found the man on the ground with gunshot wounds to his head and chest after receiving a call about shots fired at 1:20 a.m. on Sunday. The man, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said they believe the victim walked to the apartment complex to confront someone and ended up dead.

When asked about two shootings happening so closely to each other in the span of 48 hours, authorities said they don't know if the incidents are related.
