HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- All northbound lanes of the Southwest Freeway have reopened at Chimney Rock after a truck lost its load during a crash Thursday morning, sparking backups for hours.

The Houston Police Department said it got a call at about 10:20 a.m. about a major crash on the Southwest Freeway. Police said the crash involved a black pickup truck and an unknown vehicle.

According to HPD, the pickup truck was towing a trailer when it overturned in the crash, spilling debris across multiple lanes of traffic.

It's unclear if anyone was injured or what led to the crash.

By 2 p.m., authorities said all lanes had been cleared.
