HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The Houston Police Department is asking for help with finding a person of interest involved in a deadly stabbing that happened earlier this month.
On Dec. 8 at around 11:05 p.m., HPD responded to a stabbing in the 600 block of Hahlo Street, officials say.
HPD says when they arrived on the scene, officers found 28-year-old Ambrosia Swain with multiple stab wounds.
Swain was taken to Ben Taub Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead, they say.
Swain's loved ones said she was artsy and affectionate.
"It was always fun for me to get Ambrosia. Ambrosia was just fun; she was the artsy one, she had more creative things to do," said Kihla Brandes, Swain's cousin.
Her family said she was in the process of going back to school and had her entire life ahead of her, and always looked out for loved ones.
"She always thought of everybody before herself, so when all of us started having kids, she always had that mother figure; she was such a good aunt," said Brandes.

Officials say that witnesses told officers an unknown man wearing all black ran from the scene.
HPD released surveillance images a week later of the person of interest who was spotted with Swain moments before she was found.
Swain's family told ABC13 they hope justice will be served.
"I hope they find this person because first of all, obviously, we don't want this to happen again to anybody. But maybe this person needs help, and that takes a lot coming from the family that he took," said Brandes.
Anyone with information on the identity and/or whereabouts of the person of interest is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
