Runoff debate highlights issues in Liberty County

LIBERTY COUNTY, TX (KTRK) -- Republican candidates for three different races affecting Liberty County met at the Cleveland Holiday Inn on May 12 to debate the issues; however only two candidates were able to truly debate due to a couple of no-shows.

The debate was scheduled for the political races involving Liberty County Attorney, House District 18 and Pct. 3 Commissioner.

Each race has two candidates in run-offs, with Mark Beausoleil and Matthew Poston for the county attorney race, Ernest Bailes and Keith Strahan for the HD 18 race and Eddie Lowery and James "Boo" Reaves for the Pct. 3 Commissioner race.
