Coon Rapids, MN (KTRK) -- Hundreds of snakes are slithering around a home in Minnesota, and that's the way the homeowner wants it.
Scott Nellis runs a legal snake breeding business inside his home. He currently has about 200 snakes living with him. City officials say there is no city ordinance limiting the number of snakes a homeowner can have.
"They don't bother anybody, said Nellis. "They're contained in secure cages in secure rooms in my secure home, they can't escape, they can't get out, they can't harm the public, and they're all non-venomous snakes, besides."
Nellis has had complaints in the past from neighbors about foul smells coming from his home. He's also been found with boas and pythons in the home before, which are prohibited breeds.
