Pearland All-Stars heading to Waco for regional tournament

PEARLAND, TX (KTRK) -- The Pearland All-Stars are competing in the Southwest Region Tournament in Waco, which is on the way to the Little League World Series.

Coach Jason Windsor said, "We're very excited. You just asked the question if they're tired, they're not tired, they're pumped and ready to go. ... I think we're ready. It's kind of been a long layoff since state -- it's been two weeks. We've been practicing hard and I think these kids are ready to get back on the field again. ... We're just focused on this tournament, taking it one game at a time and just going step by step and getting these boys focused and ready. You know, talking about what makes this team great, it's all 13 of (the players). We told them that from the beginning. There's not any one kid that's going to make or break this team. It's all 13 of them stepping up, doing their job and contributing to this team."

The first game will be Thursday at 1pm.
