Campus evacuated after elementary school fire in Pasadena

PASADENA, TX (KTRK) -- Students and staff at a Pasadena elementary school were evacuated this morning when a portable building caught fire.

It happened at Jensen Elementary at around 9am. The campus was evacuated to Parkgate Community Church on Preston Avenue. School officials say the fire was quickly contained and there were no injuries.

Students were returning to the school by midday and classes were set to resume by the afternoon.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
