Police questioning person after shots were fired at officer in SE Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- One person is in police custody after gunshots were fired at an officer in southeast Houston.

The scene is unfolding in the 8700 block of Broadway near Hobby Airport.

Officials say someone opened fire, possible with an AR-15 assault rifle, toward an officer. Two people were detained but one of them was released.
