Caving into the pressuring demands of a Girl Scout troop, President Barack Obama donned a tiara in a recently surfaced photo.

Chief Official White House Photographer Pete Souza posted the photo to Instagram, saying he rediscovered it while creating a "2014 Year in Photos" album.

The scene took place in June of this year when Girl Scout Troop 2612 of Tulsa, Oklahoma won the annual White House Science Fair for their "Lego flood proof bridge project."

The 2014 White House Science Fair had special focus on girls and women involved in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math).

According to Souza, the girls convinced the president to wear the tiara along with them for their group photo. Obama, ignoring his own advice against wearing hats, obliged the happy scouts.

"You don't put stuff on your head if you're president," President Obama once said in 2013 when declining to wear a football helmet gift by the U.S. Navy football team. "That's politics 101. You never look good wearing something on your head."
