Three home invasion suspects hospitalized after shootout with HCSO deputy
An investigation is underway after an officer-involved shooting in northwest Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, TX (KTRK) -- Shots rang out in a northwest Harris County neighborhood when three home invasion suspects allegedly exchanged fire with a Sheriff's deputy.

Now all three of those suspects are in the hospital and an investigation is underway into this deputy-involved shooting.

It was around 10:30pm when the Harris County Sheriff's Office responded to a call about a possible home invasion on Founding Drive and Boulder Valley Drive.

When deputies arrived, they say they found three men coming out the front door of the home.

Responding deputies said they tried to get the suspects to stop, but were met with gunfire.

At least one deputy pulled their weapon and hit all three suspects. Our Eyewitness News crew at the scene counted at least 16 shell casing markers on the ground outside the home.

Life Flight had to be called for one of the suspects. The other two were taken by ground ambulance to Memorial Hermann Hospital.

We do not yet know the identities of the suspects or their conditions.

HCSO is investigating since at least one of its deputies fired back at the suspects.
