North Shore hoopster signs with UT

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A North Shore point guard signed her national letter of intent Wednesday to continue her athletic and academic career at the University of Texas.

Chasity "Chaz" Patterson, 5'6", is rated the number one point guard in the nation and 4th best player overall, according to ESPN.

She is the all-time scoring leader at North Shore High School with 2231 points heading into her senior season.

Patterson has a quick release and long range.

Wednesday is the beginning of the early signing period for Houston-area, high school athletes.
