ROSENBERG, TX (KTRK) -- Firefighters from seven fire departments battled a house fire in Rosenberg this morning that killed one person that officials believe was homeless.
The fire broke out at around 9:30am at the corner of Avenue H and 7th street in Rosenberg. Firefighters battled the blaze in a two-story brick home for several hours before discovering the body at around 1pm. It's unknown whether the victim is a man or woman.
Fire officials say the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
Firefighters from Richmond, Sugar Land, Fulshear, Needville, Pleak and Beasley assisted Rosenberg on the fire.
