HOUSTON (KTRK) -- One person is dead after a collision early this morning in northeast Houston.
Police say around 12:30am this morning, a driver lost control of his Toyota Camry and crossed the median on Lockwood near Kelley. The car then slammed into a pickup, sending the truck crashing into a metro bus shelter.
There was no one inside the shelter at the time.
The driver of the Camry died at the scene. The pickup driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police do not believe alchol was a factor, but they say the driver of the Camry was speeding.
