Judge denies bond for suspects in apartment murders
Investigators said Jeremy Jones and Harvey Jones were arrested overnight.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Two brothers were in court this morning, facing charges in Sunday's deadly shooting at a northeast Harris County apartment complex.



Jeremy Jones, 28, and Harvey Jones, 34, were formally charged in the deaths of two men at the Haverstock Hill Apartments on Aldine Bender.



A judge has ordered both men be held without bond after they were arrested early this morning. Investigators have still not said how or where the Jones brothers were found.

Officials said Jeremy Jones was taken into custody at 3:08 a.m., while his brother Harvey was arrested at 3:47 a.m.



Jeremy Jones has been charged with capital murder in the deaths of 31-year-old Gary Rusher and 33-year-old Christopher Beatty.



Meantime, Harvey Jones, 34, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Both men have been on the run since last Sunday, and homicide investigators pleaded for the public's help to find them.



It was not clear whether any tips led police to the Jones brothers.



Investigators said an argument turned very violent last Sunday when a man got out of the car, grabbed a gun from the trunk and fired into the group.



Residents deal with tragic loss in Haverstock Hill shooting


Residents of Haverstock Hill apartments are dealing with the emotional aftermath of a shootiing that claimed two lives and injured four people.


Jeremy Jones allegedly fired about 18 rounds from a semi-automatic weapon, hitting six people. Two of those victims died, while four others were rushed to the hospital. Three of the victims were identified as siblings Brandy, Isaiah and Wayne Rusher.



Harvey Jones, meantime, is accused of pointing the gun at the victims.

Deputies reported the shooting happened in the 5000 block of Aldine Bender Rd. at the Haverstock Hill apartments.
