Inmate escapes from Galveston Co. jail
An inmate escaped from the Galveston County Jail while taking out the trash on Monday afternoon, authorities confirm.

GALVESTON, TX (KTRK) -- Authorities in Galveston County are looking for an escape inmate.

The Galveston County Sheriff's Office confirms that Dominic Potter escaped from the county jail around 7:15pm while taking out the garbage.

Potter is a white male with brown hair. He stands 5 feet, 11 inches tall. He is 38 years old.

According to court records, he is awaiting trial for forgery.

He was born in Fort Worth.

No other details have been released.
