Federal lawsuit in Chad Holley beating case dismissed

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A federal judge dismissed the lawsuit over the police beating of Chad Holley.

That arrest was caught on camera in 2010 and the video sparked national outrage. Lawyers for Chad Holley say they wanted the city held accountable for what they called a systemic problem with HPD over untrained officers and unsupervised officers. The judge disagreed.

Holley's lawyers have not decided whether they will appeal the dismissal.
