Fashion design students sew something special for Christmas

MAGNOLIA, TX -- Students in Ms. Cassata's Fashion Design class at Magnolia West High School are going to warm the hearts of some soldiers. The students have been designing and sewing Christmas stockings to send overseas to our military.

The students had to learn the basics of the sewing machine, pattern making and then operating the machine. The Christmas stockings were the student's first sewing project.

"All the stockings were made with love and special care. The students did a great job with their first sewing project and what a special one," Cassata said.
