Crews battle house fire in northwest Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Houston firefighters are on scene of a house fire in northwest Houston.

They were called to a home in the 870 block of Mansfield at Knox just after 6:00 this morning. Video from Skyeye HD showed large flames pouring from the home.

HFD arrived to find a house heavily involved with reported people trapped. Crews quickly determined that there were no persons trapped. All occupants had made it out of the house safely.

Firefighters went into defensive mode and put out the flames.

One person with high blood pressure problems was taken to the hospital with non fire related injuries.

The HFD Arson Bureau will be investigating the cause of the fire.
