Amber Alert canceled; toddler found safe

LEAGUE CITY, TX (KTRK) -- An Amber Alert has been canceled for a missing League City toddler. The child was safely located, according to authorities.

The League City Police Department says 18-month-old Genessa Helene Bryant was found safe and in good health. She was given to "custodial guardians," according to a release from League City officials.

Genessa had last been seen with her biological mother, Tyresha Renea Cheek, 30, at Almeda Mall this past Sunday. An Amber Alert was issued Saturday morning and canceled hours later when word arrived that Genessa was located.
