HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Two local counties have confirmed West Nile infected mosquito activity.
The Harris County Health Department confirmed a mosquito in Northeast Harris County tested positive for the virus. The sample was taken along the Beltway near Lake Houston Parkway in zip code 77044.
Officials in Montgomery County also confirm a mosquito tested positive for West Nile in the south part of the county.
So far, there are no reports of any human cases in either county. Both counties will be spraying affected areas to reduce the mosquito presence.
