Police say a 15-year-old was arrested today at Montgomery Jr. High for distributing synthetic LSD and prescription pills

MONTGOMERY, TX (KTRK) -- There was another arrest made today, this time, a 15-year-old 8th grader at Montgomery High for distributing synthetic LSD and prescription pills.

At Montgomery High, flyers were passed around, warning everyone about the effects of synthetic drugs.

Call it n-bome or 25i or acid, whatever the name, the drug is synthetic LSD that police say a growing number of kids at Montgomery High are using.

Many kids at the high school today are still just finding out the news that seven students now have been arrested so far in connection to drug use that has left two students hospitalized and another dead.

While four of those arrested are juveniles and cannot be shown, the other two are 17 year olds Melissa Beebe and Megan Polk. They have been charged with tampering with evidence.

Last night, they were led away in handcuffs from a student's home.

"Had enough information to move forward with an arrest and we did that today. We started this a couple of weeks ago, and we've continued to follow this tail of the snake until we get to the head of it and we're going to chop it off," MISD Police Chief Brandon Torres said.

"I guess were all kind of a little shocked really buy all the drug use it's really disappointing the decisions some of the students are making to do the synthetic LSD," said senior Sam Hadley.

Teachers spent the day talking to kids about the dangers of synthetic drugs handing out these flyers. Kids we talked to said synthetic drug use is a problem that seemed to come out of nowhere over just the past couple of weeks.

School police say there are still several leads to follow and that they expect another arrest over the next week.
