Police find man's body in the Houston Ship Channel

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Authorities are working to identify a body recovered in the Houston Ship Channel Thursday afternoon.

Police told ABC13 that they were searching for a burglary suspect who jumped into the Houston Ship Channel Wednesday night, but in the process found another man's body.

The medical examiner's officer is working to identify the man.

Investigators are still searching for the burglary suspect. They believe he may have drowned or swam away.
