VIDEO: Flash Flood sweeps through mall in Mexico

MEXICO (KTRK) -- Flash floods hit eastern Mexico on Monday, catching some shoppers off-guard. Jas Garcia posted video on Facebook showing floodwaters rushing through the Plaza Animas mall in Veracruz.

According to the National Weather Service, a severe storm system hit Xalapa and Veracruz on Monday. At least 17 roads, two malls and a kindergarten school were seriously flooded in the storm, according to Mexican news outlet El Universal.
