Woman struck by METRO light rail

Doctors rushed a woman into surgery after she was hit by a METRO light rail.

Witnesses told police the woman was walking on the track near the Gulf Freeway and Scott Street, around midnight, when she was hit.

Last week investigative reporter Ted Oberg looked at METRO's safety record and what's being done to improve things.

Houston's METRO Light Rail is the most collision prone system in the nation for the last five years. Ted Oberg reports.
