JACINTO CITY, Texas (KTRK) -- A man caught stealing won't likely win father of the year, according to investigators with the Jacinto City Police Department.
Surveillance video from inside a tire shop shows the man loading a car jack inside his backseat and right past a young girl.
Corporal Albert Seydler said the bold move stands out it in his young career. Seydler said he believes the girl is between 8 and 10 years old.
"I've been here five years. I've never seen somebody actually commit something like that with a child in the car openly and willingly," said Corporal Seydler. "He does have tattoos on the back of his neck, an oil rig, and a Houston Oilers tattoo under his eye. I believe it's under his right eye. It's pretty large that we could see it through video footage."
Seydler is asking for help identifying the man in the surveillance video. They believe he was driving a white Chevy Impala.
He is described him as heavy set, bald, and about 5'9" in height.
