Football: Practice going well for Magnolia Bulldogs

Every single day that they walk off the field, Magnolia head coach Sterling Doty wants his team to have shown growth.

As for achieving that goal during the first week of practice without pads or contact, the Bulldogs can check off that box.

"Extremely well," Doty said about how practice had gone. "We had some good carryover from the spring. I think we're really taking on our motto of 'Win the Day', we're just trying to focus on every rep, every day and being disciplined people with disciplined thoughts and disciplined actions. If we can put those two things together, disciplined thoughts and actions, we'll be successful and give ourselves a chance down the stretch."

In the first few days of practice, Doty said outside linebacker Matt Moore has shown him some good things.
