Houston TranStar cameras show traffic starting to build near Houston Stadium on Saturday morning ahead of the city's last World Cup match.

Cameras captured images of cars starting to line up on the frontage road of the South Loop at Kirby Drive to enter the stadium complex.

Houston Stadium is set to hold the Round of 16 match between Canada and Morocco at 12 p.m. on Saturday. This will be the last 2026 World Cup match to be held in Houston.

Lionel Messi and Argentina beat Cape Verde 3-2 on Friday and advanced to the World Cup Round of 16 in a thrilling match in which the tiny island nation challenged the reigning champion until the final minutes of extra time.

The go-ahead score for Argentina was credited as an own-goal after Cristian Romero's header deflected off Cape Verde's Diney Borges in the 111th minute. The World Cup match between Mexico and England will kick off as originally scheduled on Sunday, sources have told ESPN, following lengthy talks between FIFA and the two national associations on Friday.

Kick-off will be at 6 p.m. local time at the Azteca Stadium, which is 8 p.m ET and 1 a.m. on Monday in the UK.

Fears over adverse weather conditions in the Mexican capital on Sunday evening had led to the Mexican government seeking an earlier kickoff time, specifically to noon -- six hours earlier in the day.

City officials advised that the fan walks for Morocco and Canada will impact traffic ahead of the teams' World Cup matchup at Houston Stadium on Saturday, July 4.

According to the Office of Emergency Management, the fan walks will impact traffic south of the Texas Medical Center and east of Houston Stadium between the hours of 8 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Officials said the following streets will be heavily impacted as thousands are expected to attend the festivities:

• Fannin (Between Old Spanish Trail - Stadium)

• Greenbriar (OST to Fannin)

• Fannin (Northbound lanes from 610 South Loop south frontage road to Stadium)

City officials advised motorists to seek alternate routes in the affected areas.

The Round of 16 matchup between Canada and Morocco is scheduled for 12 p.m. at Houston Stadium. This is the last 2026 FIFA World Cup match that will take place in Houston.
