Driver shot several times before crashing into Cypress home on Mountain Dale Drive, HCSO says

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A man is injured after getting shot and crashing into a home in Cypress on Friday morning, the Harris County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies said the incident happened in the 19700 block of Mountain Dale Drive at about 12:30 a.m.

At the scene, deputies said they pulled the man out of the car and began performing CPR before taking him to a hospital.

ABC13 crews at the scene reported seeing heavy damage to the home.

A man inside the home told ABC13 he was renting the property on Airbnb. The residents inside the home said they weren't hurt.

Deputies said the driver was shot several times, but his current condition is unknown.

An investigation is underway to determine how the crash happened.
