Gunshot victim found dead in La Porte apartment courtyard

LA PORTE, TX (KTRK) -- Neighbors say they became frightened when a loud argument resulted in a deadly shooting in La Porte.

Police say it happened around 2:50am at an apartment complex on South Broadway Street near McCabe Road.

A neighbor told officers they heard shouting and then a loud bang.

A black male in his mid 20s was found with gunshot wounds in the apartment's courtyard, where he died.

Police say there are no suspects or witnesses at this time.
