Most wanted arrest: 'Krusty' the alleged gang member nabbed in Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Well, that was quick. A day after Texas DPS announced the addition of an alleged Houston gang member to its Most Wanted list, the fugitive was captured in the Bayou City.

Authorities say Gilberto Ruvalcaba, who's also known as "Krusty," was arrested Tuesday morning near a Houston home where he was believed to be have been staying. According to a DPS statement, the arrest was not the result of a tip so no reward will be paid.

Ruvalcaba, who authorities identify as a member of the Sureo 13 gang, was wanted for allegedly violating the terms of his parole on an aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon conviction.

The state is searching for eight other fugitives on its list, and Texas Crime Stoppers is offering up to $7,500 in cash rewards to any person who provides information that leads to the arrest of one of the Texas 10 Most Wanted fugitives or sex offenders.

To be eligible for the cash rewards, there are five different ways to provide anonymous tips:

Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477).

Text the letters DPS - followed by your tip - to 274637 (CRIMES) from your cell phone.

Submit a web tip through the DPS website by selecting the fugitive you have information about, and then clicking on the link under their picture.

Submit a Facebook tip at http://www.facebook.com/texas10mostwanted by clicking the "SUBMIT A TIP" link (under the "About" section).

All tips are anonymous - regardless of how they are submitted.
