Spring Branch Medical Center reduced to rubble inimplosion

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The Spring Branch Medical Center on Long Point Drive was demolished on Sunday.

BlackSwan Investment Partners purchased the unoccupied site last month. The 18-acre site was cleared out to make way for a new residential and retail development project.

The Medical Center located within the Spring Branch District had fallen into foreclosure in 2013.

The six-story vacated facility once crowed 299 beds, 19 operating rooms and a Radiation Oncology Center.
