Man finds human foot still inside shoe during morning walk

VANCOUVER, Canada (KTRK) -- A man and his dog made a shocking discovery during their morning walk in Vancouver.

They found a human foot still inside a shoe.

Mike Johns, who is a seasoned hunter, decided to take the remains home with him, then he called police.

He said he hopes the discovery will end a mystery for a loved one.

"Just hopefully get some closure for the families involved, you know. Cause if they're looking for somebody, then maybe this will close a chapter for them," Johns said.

Police are testing the foot for DNA and looking at their missing persons database to see if they can make any matches.
