HOUSTON (KTRK) -- In the wake of massive flooding across the Houston area, residents should be on the lookout for displaced wildlife. This afternoon, an alligator found its way outside an office building along the Katy Freeway.
The approximately six-foot-long alligator was found next to a wall of a parking garage. While it was not aggressively threatening anyone, a wildlife expert was called in to remove the reptile.
It's not uncommon to rescue two to three gators a day at this time, explained Chris Stephens, also known as Gator Chris.
The alligator was captured and will be taken an alligator farm in El Campo.
No one was injured.
