HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Authorities in Fort Bend County are looking for two men who robbed a woman at gunpoint in front of her home. The victim's camera surveillance system captured clear images of them.
The video shows one robber casually strolling by her home before he turns back and points a silver handgun at the 47-year-old mother.
"She feels insecure, even inside our house, insecure," the victims husband, Victor Camacho told Eyewitness News after his wife ran inside to avoid reporter questions.
Camacho arrived at his Kingspoint subdivision home in Houston, Fort Bend County, just a few minutes after his wife last Thursday. It was almost 5:15pm. Video from their surveillance cameras shows a white car pull past their house. The first guy walks by, doubles back and then off camera holds the woman at gunpoint while his friend grabs her purse. They then take off running.
"I was very thankful it ended up being the purse and nothing else because he was obviously with a gun in hand. So it could be even worse," said Camacho.
The clear video and photos Camacho provided law enforcement are the result of a break-in at their home last year. Then Camacho installed burglar bars and seven cameras.
Camacho, a small business owner, fears his wife may have been followed home from their shop. Her anxiety he says might ease if the brazen robbers in these pictures were behind bars.
"Hopefully we can catch these people," added Camacho.
The two robbers ran north on Norham Drive.
The first suspect is described as 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds. He was earring a black tank top, black shorts, black cap and black shoes with white socks. He also has a short beard.
The second suspect is a little taller with a similar build and weight, according to the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office. He was wearing a red hoodie, red and white shorts, black shoes and white socks. He also a beard.
Information which leads to an arrest and charges can ear a reward of up to $5,000. Call Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS (8477) with tips. Tipsters will remain anonymous.
