Huge fire destroys wing of California elementary school

MODESTO, California (KTRK) -- A massive fire destroyed the wing of a California elementary school.

The fire started Friday in Modesto which is east of San Jose.

Luckily, no children were in the school at the time because the school was closed for winter break.

It's estimated the fire caused almost $1.5 million in damages.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
