"Finding Dory": How "Nemo" world rebooted for new adventure

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- More than a decade after "Finding Nemo" swam to the top of the box office, the sequel could wind up being a much bigger fish.

"Finding Dory" hits theaters in Houston and nationwide today. Ahead of its big release, Eyewitness News anchor Tom Koch sat down with Pixar Supervising Animator Michael Stocker.

Stocker is no stranger to animation. His Pixar credits include "The Incredibles," "Cars," "Toy Story 3," and "Monsters University."

Before movies, he worked in more industrial designs, specifically working for Boeing.

That all changed in 1992, when he worked as a trainee on Disney's "The Lion King."

Now as an animation supervisor, "Dory" has been his pet project for the last three years. Stocker says in making "Finding Dory" everything changed, but when you see "Finding Dory" it will be just as familiar as the last time we saw Dory and Nemo.
