River Oaks fashion show to benefit Harvey victims
The Fashion X Houston charity event will benefit Hurricane Harvey victims through the Rebuild Texas Fund.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Harvey victims will get a little assistance with the help of a local fashion show charity event.

Fashion X Houston will include local emerging and notable designers where they will show of their latest creations.

Part of the proceeds from the event will go toward the Rebuild Texas Fund, a initiative led by the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation to raise $100 million to support communities around Texas that were hit hard by the storm.

The fashion show is three nights and will begin with store events around the River Oaks District.

"River Oaks District is looking forward to celebrating the renewal and rebuilding of the Houston community. Fashion X Houston will bring everyone together, showcase The District's top-tier collection of designers and brands, as well as shine a spotlight on local and emerging Houston designers, all for a very worthy cause," said Jennifer Rivera, Marketing Manager, River Oaks District.

The runway will feature looks by designers like Adrienne Yunger, Alantude, David Peck, Mysterious by NPN and Nha Khanh, alongside Project Runway veterans Allie Joy, Amanda Valentine, Chloe Dao, Daniel Esquivel, Gunnar Deatherage, Melissa Fleis and Sonjia Williams.
