PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania -- Maybe the second time is the charm? A cow has been corralled twice now after escaping a church nativity scene in Philadelphia.
The animal was first captured on a highway. Police caught up with it in a parking garage the second time.
The cow, nicknamed "Stormy," made its way out of Old First Reformed United Church of Christ around 6:20 a.m. Thursday, then walked down the street.
The pastor of the church tried his best to stop the cow, but to no avail. The cow then went to the upper level of a parking garage where it was eventually cornered.
This all began around 2:15 a.m. when "Stormy" was seen walking on the highway
At one point, Philadelphia and Pennsylvania state police boxed it in with their cruisers before walking the animal off of the highway. After police corralled the cow on the highway, they returned it back to the church safe and sound, where it remained until it escaped again.
Reverend Michael Caine tells 6abc the nativity scene has been part of the church since 1973.
"Stormy" is once again back at the church.
