Suspected drunk driver charged in New Year's Eve pedestrian death

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A suspected drunk driver, Eduardo Davila, 22, is charged in the death of a 74-year-old man on New Year's Eve in northwest Houston.

Authorities say the man was walking his dogs when he was hit at 10100 Kempwood near Gessner around 8:20pm. The man's dog was also hit and killed.

The victim's name has not been released.

Davila is charged with driving while intoxicated and driving with an invalid license.
