COLUMBUS, OH (KTRK) -- A man is now facing robbery charges after he accidentally gave police a key piece of evidence: The victim's drivers license.
Police in Columbus, Ohio were called to the scene of a robbery. The victim, who had been beaten up, gave officers a good description of the suspect and told them the direction he took off on foot.
Officers followed and spotted a man matching that description. They asked him for his identification, and he handed over the victims drivers license.
Police then arrested the man, identified as Mohamed Abdullahi Ahmed, on robbery charges.
