Four Houstonians, including child, drown in lake near Crockett

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Four people from Houston, including a young boy, are dead after drowning in a lake near Crockett.

Investigators in Houston County say they recovered the bodies in Houston County Lake.

They're identified as Juan Cantu, Antonio Gutierrez, Amy Mendez and 6-year-old Sebastian Chavez.

Investigators say the group left shore in a canoe this weekend and didn't come back.

Crews found three out of the four life vests floating in the water.
