Country superstar George Strait visits Houston to promote new tequila line

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- "If you ain't lovin', you ain't livin,'" and right now country superstar George Strait is loving his new tequila line, promoting it across Texas.

Perry's Steakhouse and Grille hosted a private party for Strait Monday night to promote Codigo 1530, Strait's newest tequila. It's part of a collection that includes Blanco, Rosa, Reposado, Anejo and Origen.

Eyewitness News Anchor Tom Koch and his wife were able to sit and chat with Strait at the event. He told Tom that he hasn't ruled out playing at RodeoHouston again. He said, "never, say never."

Strait was with his wife, Norma, during their visit to Houston. They have been married for 45 years.

Some of Strait's hit songs include "Check Yes or No," "Amarillo by Morning," "I Cross my Heart," and "All my Ex's Live in Texas."
